Hello everyone. I’m here at a friend’s
house. The post office just notified him that his order of guppies had arrived.
These guppies were flown from Puerto Rico to Hawaii in three days and flew
5,730 miles (9,221 Kilometers). That was a long flight and we’re
hoping that the guppies are alive. My friend ordered two pairs of violet cobra
guppies. Here’s the male. It’s in great condition. We’ll get a better look at him
later. So let’s open the other bags. Here’s
the second bag with three very lively and healthy young females. Moving on to
the third and fourth bags. There’s the second male. Very healthy looking. The
forth and last bag, females. This tub right here is ready for the guppies. After
acclimating the guppies in their new tub, he’s gonna cut open each bag and release
all the guppies into their new home. Just a few minutes after releasing these
guppies, they seem well adjusted, healthy, and hopefully will produce lots of fry.
Their brightly colored tails really makes them stand out in the sunlight. The
male’s have violet tails with yellow streaks in them and a cobra pattern on
their body. This male has a longer dorsal fin and is a bit larger than the other male. Seven days later and there’s a big change in these guppies. The color has
really brightened up. I almost can’t believe these are the same guppies.
Here’s a comparison, you can see the huge difference from the first day
brought home and seven days later. It’s pretty amazing how much they colored up.
My friend is really excited to breed these guppies. Thanks for watching.
